The Friday File: Going Incognito - or How I Escaped the Wardrobe Mistress!

Five minutes to myself: Theatre Life is so DEMANDING!

Rest your PAWS travel into the TARDIS,

(escape, escape...) to the worm hole, rabbit hole, wardrobe or in the Church they call it 'Rood Screen'.

Incognito Strategy

In the Theater the prop department simply calls it "THE SCREEN"! Darlings...don't kid yourself; we know "privacy screens" aren't all that they are cracked up to be. You don't even get time to practice a decent ARIA!!

  
Be aware of the of the "Dreaded Wardrobe Mistress".

I call her the Wicked Wicked Witch:

YOU are under MY SPELL!

Everyone knows the power SHE wields.  Like Betty Davis, an intellect with cunning resources. She WILL  hunt you down like Sherlock Holmes, THINKS before you do!

I even got on the catline to my cousin "Sammy" a master of disguise in his own right (said "I can't compete with her, I'm at loose PAWS")!



Now you would think, with ALL years of training I could out smart her; out scream her, out wit her..or does she know me too well?

Well....life is a bit like this:

"Human Mummy says, kids leave me alone for a moment, kids say....you aren't paying me enough attention".

MY Secretary says “Diva it’s dinner time, come and get it” Diva mutters in cat whisper...(where is the mute button for for that grating cutter voice).. Is there NO PEACE!?

Sush: Don't give away the PAWS

The Wardrobe Mistress says: "Diva stop being a Drama Queen! If your costume is tight ...you shouldn't have eaten that plateful of sardines last night…I warned YOU”.   

 Diva replies “Oh leave me alone, I just want to hide”.

Hints for being effective at INCOGNITO:  

1. When trying not to be found out, DON'T STICK your paws BELOW the wooden screen;
2. Make sure you EAT so your stomach doesn't rumble a freight train!
3. Any voluntary body twitching from dreaming..... WILL result as a dead giveaway;
4. Get the prop department to build a drop stairway so you can ESCAPE like Houdini;
5. Use your understudy and bribe him or her as necessary! 
6. Make sure the Wardrobe Mistress isn't reading Houdini before YOU! 
7. Be ONE STEP AHEAD!

                                                       Remember: be one PAW head !

Hello MY Darlings!

As I sat looking outside my urban window, I was just lapping some cool water before the summer humidity rolled in.

Across my desk, MY "Secretary" alerted me to read a "Notice of Adoption" regarding "Dundas".   As the story unfolded, I was very moved.  Read on:



 Toronto Downtown Hospital writes:
"Earlier today we got a phone call from a visitor to Toronto who saw a car pull up to the intersection at Dundas and University only to throw a kitten out the car door. She called us and we gave her directions to bring the kitty here. After examination and x-rays, Dr Steede noted that his leg is shattered beyond repair and will need a leg amputation.

While we can't begin to question how someone would do this to a beautiful kitten we are glad that a saint was there to help save his life"

Humans please put the 'humane' back into HUMANE!  I know MY readers will be shocked at the lack of compassion and cruelty to "Dundas" Shame, shame! 

Thankfully, he is in good PAWS now (he must have 'cat angels around him ^..^)!

PLEASE have your humans report ANY cruelty, REMEMBER WE CAN'T SPEAK FOR OURSELVES.......you CAN!

 Hello My DARLINGS!

I've decided to pay a little visit to Vienna myself, the travel bug got me so I decided to leave my human at home! LOL

I bet you thought 'felines' don't have a sweet tooth, well some of us do! I have a sophisticated palate and love to ROUTE (Root) it out.  :^..^:

A Konditorei typically offers a wide variety of pastries and is like a little café. In Germany, Austria and Israel it is a very popular custom to go to a Konditorei to have a cake and some coffee or hot chocolate mid-afternoon.

The profession of the Konditor

developed from that of the baker. Once the bakers of medieval times (15th century) mastered the art of baking bread, some started to rarefy the dough with honey, dried fruits and spices. These specialists called themselves Lebküchler,



 Lebküchner or Lebzelter. They founded a guild in 1643 in the area in and around Nürnberg.

 {At the same time, the Lebkuchen bakers ran a second trade using wax, a side product of honey: they became chandlers, supplying churches and private households with artistic candles, wax figures and pictures made of wax. Diva Days/Daze - Pawsing for Me

  Hello MY Darlings!     We hope all your energetic kittens are enjoying the Spring weather in Toronto!

  I was reflecting momentarily on my own memories growing up in my urban city.

(Bonk)......A huge male seagull, skidded to a halt on my window sill. (Waking up from my DAZE).  Screeching, letting the world know he was there!

  Stretching, turning around I got myself into position for a long morning nap.

    In my practice I tell my human and feline patients to take a "Diva Daze".  Oh I have spelt it that way to get your attention!!!!     

 

 Do this!  One day a week take a 'me day' as humans call it!  Sleep, socialize, paw over the newspaper, read a book, do nothing! Curl up in a canvas shopping bag and sleep till your hearts content!

Some humans GET IT RIGHT!

Felines, stop chasing the mice; running up and down the sofa; chewing on plants and playing in the soil.

PAWS for Effect

Sweet enough to TASTE

Dogs, stop chasing your tails; standing on your head to get attention; or sitting with the frisbee waiting for the human to take you out.Chill-out and relaxxxxx.

Find interesting places to go, or hide.  Escape, celebrate rest and relaxation!! Haven't YOU earned it after ALL.   

The time you take to connect with yourself will be amazing! We all know from research the value it can bring psychologically.
